SERMON ON THE SUNDAY OF THE VENERATION OF THE CROSS (2014)
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Brothers and sisters. I want to detain you for a moment—you'll spend less time in front of the television. Listen to our voice, the voice of the real Church, about the events that are currently troubling the entire world. This is not the voice of the church created in 1927 by the Bolsheviks to cover up the atrocities of the satanic regime, but the voice of the real Church, which has always been faithful to God, which cares for the people. The mouthpiece of that Chekist church is television and its lying press. What is television? It is a satanic voice, the voice of Satan and Putin, where there can be no truth, only lies, one upon another. You heard on television that Banderites and nationalists have seized Ukraine. What nonsense! First of all, there are no nationalists or Banderites in power there, and if there are Banderites among the people, then ask yourself: who was Bandera? He stood up for his people, for his nation. Hitler imprisoned him for this, and he suffered, he truly suffered for the people. He wasn't a doctor of theology and, of course, he was mistaken. But who wasn't mistaken in those years when the prevalence of lies in the world was at its height? And who are the nationalists? They are patriots who care about their people. However, when nationalists don't recognize God, they turn into Nazis, the same as the Bolsheviks.
Who rules our country? They call themselves democrats. I call them plutocrats, because they are filled with robbers, corrupt officials, led by a KGB colonel, and nothing could be more terrifying. And none of them ever thought about the people: they care only about their own pockets and the security of their power. They stole billions of dollars and deposited them in foreign banks for safety. But now, when their crimes have begun to be revealed, their accounts have been frozen. Yanukovych was just as much of a robber in Ukraine: he pocketed billions of the people's money, while his people suffered more poverty than ours. And then the people rebelled, unable to tolerate the lawlessness any longer. And then what? When the people rebelled, their ruler, Yanukovych, fled to Russia, fearing that his people would arrest, try, and execute him. Fled to where? Here's an interesting episode: the day before yesterday, a scandal erupted live on the TSN telethon between Vice President of the European Jewish Congress Yevhen Chervonenko and the government's anti-corruption commissioner, Tatyana Chernovil, who accused him of secretly sending Yanukovych to Russia on a helicopter that belonged to him. She added:
"I know Mr. Chervonenko as the man who oversaw the embezzlement of funds for Euro 2012. I know Mr. Chervonenko, who began Yushchenko's downfall. He built a dacha in the Carpathians, at an unknown cost, for himself and also for Yushchenko."
In short, the rebellious people have now begun to reveal the true colors of the plunderers in power. So what next? The people of Ukraine have succeeded in overthrowing the president favored by Russian President Putin. However, some believe that the revolutionary situation in Ukraine was part of Putin's plans, and that he orchestrated it to subjugate Ukraine, or at least part of it initially. He does not recognize the new Ukrainian government as legitimate because the people have forced the ouster of his double, Yanukovych. And so, he begins to carry out subversive activities in Crimea, as well as in the Donetsk, Luhansk, and Kharkiv regions, which had been more prepared for annexation by Russia since the Soviet era.
The first to be seized was Crimea, once part of Russia and gifted to Ukraine by Khrushchev. Putin seizes Crimea. The methods used are purely Bolshevik, completely lawless. He unleashes savage propaganda, accusing Ukraine of nationalism and Banderaism. What business does he have with another country, especially one that poses no threat to peace? Then, trained people are sent into Crimea under the guise of people's self-defense forces. A protégé of the Prime Minister is installed, and a referendum is announced for Crimea to secede from Ukraine and join Russia. Only the State Rada of Ukraine, not the Russian president, could have called the referendum, and it could have been carried out only by Ukrainian forces, not by those in Moscow, led by Churov, the greatest of rogues, whom Medvedev once called a magician for his skillful election rigging. But even before the illegal referendum, Russian military forces had been deployed under the guise of "self-defense" and had seized administrative buildings, indicating a direct invasion. Crimea was illegally seized by Russia, its checkpoints and ships were stormed.
This naturally provoked a reaction of opposition to the violence from Ukraine, the US, and EU countries. Putin's Russia began to impose political and economic sanctions, practically from the entire world, except for China, Cuba, Venezuela, and North Korea. But Putin and his band of thieves scoff at this, even though it promises the complete impoverishment of our country, even to the point of famine.
Why is Putin doing this? He's not afraid of world opinion because he knows our people will ultimately believe his mendacious propaganda. Over 80 years of brainwashing these people, they've been reduced to nothing more than cattle, zombies: they believe everything the government promotes. That's the first thing. And the second thing is his faith in the immense power of television, which is called the idiot box. It zombifies the masses with lies: it piles lie upon lie. And our people swallow it all.
Let's recall how the Olympics began: Putin organized them to glorify his name, to achieve self-deification. He once completely paganized Orthodox Russia. They carried the pagan Olympic flame across the country, "illuminating" all the elements, all the cities, with this diabolical fire, reaching the North Pole and dragging it into space, "blessing" the sky with the diabolical light. They even dove with it to the bottom of Lake Baikal to "sanctify" the water element. And the most terrifying thing is that they are giving it none other than a religious, mystical character, believing that this satanic fire will bless all their lawlessness. Even the opening day of this Olympics carries a mystical, diabolical meaning. It is the day of remembrance of all those tortured by the Bolsheviks, established by the Local Council of the Russian Orthodox Church on January 25/February 7, 1918. It is the day of remembrance of Metropolitan Vladimir (Bogoyavlensky) of Kyiv, who was unlawfully murdered by the Bolsheviks. And who benefited from the Olympics? It is believed that one and a half trillion dollars of public money was stolen for this Putin scheme. And now this Olympics has passed, and it's a good thing the earth didn't open up beneath it, as it once did under the houses of Korah, Dathan, and Abihu. Through this, Putin has gained aggrandizement and is convinced that the people will swallow anything.
His third hope is that China, which he has managed to appease, stands behind him. China needs Russia, and Russia is a tremendous global power. Therefore, he hopes that China will protect him, and the West will do nothing to him. His hope is also strengthened by his knowledge of the softness of US and EU leaders. Their presidents fear their voters and therefore sluggishly address international issues.
The fourth source of wealth for him and his elite is their billions of dollars plundered, all their palaces, apparently numbering around two dozen, built with public funds. That's why they weren't alarmed when America and all the Western countries froze all their deposits and barred them from traveling abroad: they'd then travel to China, North Korea, Venezuela, Cuba, and Vietnam. They still have Bolshevik footholds there, and so he's restoring Bolshevism in Russia to create a global communist power. We know that Bolshevism will return under the Antichrist, and now he's cultivating this Bolshevism. And these "nationalists," as he labels the Ukrainian people, immediately began toppling and destroying all Leninist idols. They abolished their holidays of March 8, May 1, and May 9 in Ukraine, anathematizing them.
And what are Putin and his comrades doing? They're deciding to create an open-air Lenin museum in Crimea, dragging all those toppled idols there and turning them into a museum. They also want to create an open-air Lenin museum in Ulyanovsk, collecting there all the rot that destroyed Russia. Nearly a hundred million people were exterminated under the sign of these museum exhibits: starved to death, shot, and destroyed through the wars they waged. Hundreds of millions were also driven into unbelief. The very faith professed in the Moscow Patriarchate serves only to cover up their atrocities. And how many true believers are there? Neither love nor faith without fidelity to God are conceivable, and what fidelity to God can there be in active unity with the Bolsheviks, the fierce enemies of Christ? We, and our priests and parishes, remain truly faithful. However, anyone within the Moscow Patriarchate, or in various schisms and other faiths, cannot be considered faithful to God. Through any act of unfaithfulness, demons enter more quickly and powerfully than through other sins. Watching television and believing in the lies it portrays also brings demons into the fold, and it's not easy to get rid of them. People believe everything presented on television not only because they've been conditioned to it, but also because demons enter through it and prevent them from believing the truth.
We are the last heralds of truth, and we don't know what will happen to us tomorrow, but we cannot and have no right to remain silent in the face of the global catastrophe brewing. Many of these TV-zombified and former Komsomol members say: he's preaching politics. Politics? Was Christ preaching politics when he called the scribes and Pharisees whitewashed tombs filled with abominations and bones?
Today we heard the Savior say, "Whoever desires to come after Me must deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me." And an example of this lies before our very eyes on the lectern: the Cross of Christ. He showed us how to sacrifice ourselves. It is a symbol of sacrificial love: He sacrificed himself, shedding his blood for the human race, for both the good and the bad.
And He also said: "For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?" There is nothing of value in this world that can compare with blessed eternity.
So, these billions the ruling thieves have plundered should be used for the needs of the people. We are clearly facing near-famine in the near future, because the entire world is blockading us, cutting off trade with us, and cutting oil prices by half. Meanwhile, in our hopes for gas, oil, and other natural resources, we have destroyed our entire industry and agriculture, our entire national economic structure. Therefore, as soon as Putin starts a war, and he won't stop at Crimea, famine will begin. He will send his agents into Ukraine, amidst the noise of unbridled propaganda, and then he will instigate ever new aggressions. Poland, Lithuania, and the Baltic states are already establishing military cordons on the border, as Finland once did, because the danger is great. The pretext is the same Hitlerite thesis: protecting one's own people in other neighboring states. Has anyone oppressed the Germans? Or are Russians being oppressed somewhere?
In Chechnya, where he favored the country by pouring tens of billions into its development, Russians were oppressed, but these are his satellites, and those states maintain freedom, and no one oppresses anyone there. So this is another new propaganda lie. And he will go to "liberate" Russians not only in Ukraine, but also in Belarus, Lithuania, Estonia, and Latvia; expect Poland, too. There are Russians everywhere, and with such an argument, one can invade any country. Next up is northern Kazakhstan, as well as the Pamirs in Kyrgyzstan—these are also Russian regions—and then what will happen? The West senses and sees that this is a second Hitler, who will not stop at little, but will unleash World War III. That's why the US and EU are imposing a strict blockade to stop the aggression at its source. But isn't it too late? And once again, the burden of these sanctions will fall not on Putin, but on the shoulders of the long-suffering Russian people. His path is like the Antichrist's march to power, the ground for whose emergence has long been ripe: everyone now seeks earthly goods, chooses leaders not for the Kingdom of Heaven, but for earthly prosperity, and gets what they deserve. Who on Bolotnaya Square and the Maidan squares advocates for a monarchy convenient for faith and Orthodoxy? There are none in sight.
I ask one thing of you, brothers and sisters: do not trust television, which is under the control of the forces of evil – it leads directly to the Antichrist and the destruction of humanity. Amen.
